The Service Above Self Award, Rotary’s highest honour, recognises Rotarians who demonstrate Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self, by volunteering their time and talents to help others. The award is internationally competitive and is granted to no more than 150 Rotarians worldwide, and no more than one from each district, each year.
The Service Above Self Award was bestowed on PDG Peter Newman by the President and Board of Rotary International and presented by District Governor Tony Spring and Rotary International President’s Personal Representative, PDG John Iriks at the District Conference, Geelong on 23 February 2013.
