Paul Harris Fellows

When $US1000 is contributed to The Rotary Foundation, a request can be made for an individual to be recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow; that person can be a Rotarian or a member of the community who is not a Rotarian. It is not an award; it is simply recognition of an outstanding commitment to the Club or the community. Similarly, for each sapphire or ruby added to a Rotarian’s Paul Harris Fellow pin, an additional US$1000 has been given to The Rotary Foundation.

* Indicates a member of the community named for outstanding service. Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, DBE, AC, a long time resident of Frankston, was named in recognition of her outstanding and dedicated service in many fields of community service. John Darnett was named for his tireless work in support of the elderly and as member of the Country Fire Authority. The Rotary Clubs of Carrum Downs, Cranbourne, Frankston, Frankston Central, Frankston North, Frankston Sunrise, Langwarrin, Seaford and Somerville made these presentations in the year of Rotary’s 90th birthday anniversary. Although the nominations were agreed by the clubs involved and submitted by the Rotary Club of Frankston Sunrise, it is important to record these names with the Frankston North Rotary’s recipients as an historical record.
